Altdorfer, Albeet

Altdorfer, Albeet, a Bavarian painter and engraver, born at Altdorf, 1488, died at Regensburg, 1538. He is regarded as the best of Albert Durer's pupils, and one of his masterpieces, The Battle if Arbela, is in the Pinacothek at Munich.
