Angelcoin

Angel, coin, an old English coin, first introduced into England by Edward IV. in 1465. It was of gold, and represented on one side the conflict between Michael and the Dragon. The last angel struck in England was in Charles I.'s reign. The value of the coin varied from 6s. Sd. to 10s. at different periods.
