Antichlor

Antichlor, any substance used for removing the last traces of chlorine from a material which has been bleached by chloride of lime. Hyposulphite of soda (Sodium thiosulphate) is now most commonly employed. Sulphide of calcium and stannous chloride have, among other substances, been used as antichlors.
