Asellio

Asellio, or Aselli, Gasparo, born in 1581, was a physician of Cremona, and afterwards professor of anatomy at Pavia. In vivisecting a dog his attention was called to the existence of the lacteal vessels, on which he wrote a treatise published in 1627, a year after his death.
