Beni Hassan

Beni-Hassan, a village in the province of Vostani or Middle Egypt, on the right bank of the Nile, 15 miles above Minieh. The name is tribal, and signifies sons of Hassan. The tombs of the twelfth dynasty that are to be seen here exhibit some remarkable architectural features.
