Candle Flies

Candle Flies, a group of species of Rhynchota (q.v.) belonging to the genera Fulgora and Hotinus. They occur in America and China; they are large, and brightly coloured, and it is to the latter fact that they owe their popular name. It is doubtful whether any of them are normally luminous.
