Cave Bear

Cave Bear (Ursus spelaeus), a gigantic extinct species of bear, surpassing the Polar bear in size and apparently closely related to the grizzly bear, the bones of which are found fossil in the Cromer Forest-bed (Pliocene), and in cave-deposits (Pleistocene) in England, Europe, and Asia.
