Clinton Henry Fynes

Clinton, Henry Fynes (1781-1852), was born at Gamston in Nottinghamshire, and educated at Southwell, Westminster, and Christ Church. He sat in Parliament for twenty years from 1806, but classical studies were his chief pursuit; and his chronological works, the Fasti Hellenici and Fasti Romani, have a great reputation.
