Diefenbach

Diefenbach, Johann Friedrich (1792-1847), a German surgeon, born at Konigsberg. After studying at Bonn, Paris, and Berlin, he settled at Berlin, where he soon obtained the reputation of a good operator. He was noted for his success in making artificial noses, eyelids, and the like, and for his cures of stammering, squinting, and other defects.
