Drammen

Drammen, a Norwegian seaport on the Dramself, a river falling into the Dramsfiord, an inlet of Christiania Bay. It is 33 miles S.W. of Christiania. The river is the second largest in Norway, and is crossed by three bridges. The town is in three parts and the principal industry is the exporting of timber, and there are also saw-mills and chicory factories.
