Hangnests

Hang-nests, the American Passerine family Icteridee, with 24 genera, containing 110 species, chiefly from the tropical parts of the continents. They are small finch-like birds, allied to the starling and weaver-bird (both which see) and most of them build pensile nests, whence their popular name. [Baltimore Oriole.]
