Hussars

Hussars, light cavalry troops marked by the peculiarity of their dress, the most conspicuous feature of which is the busby, a high fur cap, with a cloth bag hanging out of the top, on the right side. The name (Hungarian huszdr, "twentieth") arose from the fact that when they were first raised by Matthias Corvinus, King of Hungary, in 1458, every twentieth man was taken from each village.
