Igen

Igen (I-yen), the aborigines of the Liang-Shan mountains, Yunnan; but the term, meaning "strangers," is applied to and assumed by many hill tribes in west and south-west China who object to the more usual name Man-tze, which means "untameable worms." (Gill, Travels, vol. i. p. 355.)
