Phsedrus

Phsedrus, a Latin poet of the 1st century A.D. who wrote fables in imitation of those known as iEsop's. He was born in Macedonia, and became the slave and eventually the f reedman of Augustus. His five books of Fables are remarkable for their succinct and pointed syle of narrative and their elegant versification.
